Burdeen's Jewelry Philanthropy

Burdeen's Jewelry gives back to the Chicagoland & North Shore communities through various charitable organizations throughout the greater Chicagoland area and the rest of the world. As a family-owned business with employees who also call Chicagoland home, we love to give back to the community that we have made our home for generations. If you have any ideas local charities or any ways for Burdeen's Jewelry to give back, email us!

Riverside Foundation

Riverside Foundation provides residential support and developmental training services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. Our residential facility at our main campus, our community homes and our work and activity center, are devoted to making a difference in the lives of the individuals we serve – and to those who love them. Burdeen's Jewelry was proud to give to them at their 2017 gala.

For seven years, the Burdeens have been attending the Lauri S. Bauer Foundation for Sudden Loss. This wonderful foundation "provide(s) help, healing and hope to families that have suffered a sudden loss or crisis." This fund has already raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to help fund grief support for families in distress. Burdeen's Jewelry is happy to do its part for this spectacular foundation. For 2017, we sponsored an auction for two pieces of our bespoke jewelry including a necklace and a pair of diamond earrings. We hope the lucky winners enjoys their new haute jewelry!

Kohl Children's Museum & Gala

For the 2015 Holiday Season, we had a fundraiser that was especially near and dear to our hearts. Matt Burdeen personally designed charms that raised funds for the Kohl Children's Museum in Glenview, Illinois. Founded in 1985, this museum's mission is to provide Lake Shore children a chance to learn hands-on at some of their most formative years - from birth to age 8.

Make-A-Wish Foundation

For the past ten years, Burdeen's Jewelry has been on a mission to help raise funds for Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Since 1980, Make-A-Wish has enriched the lives of children with life-threatening medical conditions through its wish-granting work—evolving into a world-wide organization that grants a child’s wish every 38 minutes. In addition to monetary donations, Burdeen's has dontated custom pieces to raise auction funds and granted a special wish for a child with dreams of owning his very own aviator timepiece.

“Burdeen's is a proud supporter of Make-A-Wish and we applaud how the organization is able to grant the wishes of thousands of children around the world,” said Matthew Burdeen. “I am especially proud of our colleagues who help raise funds for this worthy organization. There is nothing more gratifying than being able to fulfill children's wishes.”

Burdeen's Jewelry 2011 Diamond Dash for the Make-A-Wish Foundation

One of our proudest achievements was the 2011 Diamond Dash This 5K Run & 2K Walk was simultaneous a family & pet-friendly way to raise money for the Make A Wish Foundation. Featuring sponsors such as Village Green Dentistry in Lincolshire, we were able to get hundreds of runners, walkers (and pets!) from all over Lake County to participate.

Wellness Place Breast Cancer Education and Support Center

Wellness Place is a Palantine-based Cancer Education and Support Center. Burdeen's proudly supports this 501(c)(3) organization with the proceeds from our Live to Give Event. This was a private reception and jewelry showing in 2006.

Thank you for thinking of Wellness Place and your support of our Breast Cancer programs. Because of people like you, we continue to support our mission. Thank you!
