Powered by IWC's in-house 69000 calibre family first introduced in the 150 Years collection, this IWC Pilot's Watch Chronograph Spitfire is the first of the Spitfires to be powered by the movement. Featuring a power reserve of 46 hours, it is a stunning watch in every way. This watch movement's finishing is so gorgeous, it's a shame that there isn't a display back on this particular model. Instead, wearers are treated to the shape of the legendary 80 year old fighter plane.
At 41 millimeters, this pilot's watch makes for an easy wear, but is also masculine in its presence. Unlike other 41 mm pieces, it doesn't "shrink" on the wrist and appears larger than its measurements suggest.
Given a 12-hour chronograph function, and unique features like the green canvas strap or brown calfskin like a bomber jacket, these watches are a fitting tribute to pilots everywhere - whether or not you can truly fly a plane.
